We Do Blocks does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. It has no accounts, no analytics, and makes no network requests of any kind.
Nothing. The app has no sign-in, no user profiles, and no server. We have no way to identify you or anyone using the app, and we receive no information about how it is used.
The block programs you build exist only in the app's memory while it is open. They are not saved to the device, and they are never uploaded anywhere. Closing the app clears them.
The app uses Bluetooth for one purpose: to find and control a LEGO® WeDo 2.0 hub. It scans only for LEGO hubs, communicates only with the hub you select, and sends nothing to us or to any third party.
On Android, the Bluetooth scanning permission is declared with
neverForLocation, which tells the operating system the app
must not use Bluetooth to derive your location. The app does not request
location permission and does not access location data.
We Do Blocks is designed for use by children in classrooms. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. There is no advertising, no third-party tracking, no in-app purchasing, and no external links or content a child could navigate to from inside the app.
This is intended to satisfy the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Google Play's Families policy, and Apple's requirements for apps directed at children.
The app includes no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or attribution services. The open-source libraries it is built on (including Blockly and React Native) run entirely on the device and send no data anywhere.
